This fine example of sikh temple architecture featuring a large pool reminiscent
of Amritsar's Golden Temple. The 24 -hour reciting of the faith's Holy Book adds
to the atmosphere, and there's free food on offer, although don't be surprised if
you are asked to help out with washing up; you must remove your shoes and cover
your head to enter, suitable scarves are provided if you arrive without.
Further north east on Baba Kharak singh marg is the Hanuman Mandir. This small
temple (circa 1724) was built by Maharaja Jai Singh 2 of Jaipur. Of no great
architectural interest, the temple is increasingly popular with devotees.
Mangal Haat (Tuesday fair) is popular market.
